Kira is committed to providing practical and thoughtful legal representation and recognizes that involvement with the criminal justice system can be overwhelming. She takes the time to explain the process, understand her clients’ circumstances, and ensures they know what to expect at each stage of their case.

Before law school, Kira completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She went on to work as a legal assistant with the Nanaimo Crown Counsel office, where she gained firsthand experience with the criminal justice system. She also volunteered with a non-profit organization in Kelowna, supporting people navigating complex mental health and addiction-related challenges. These experiences gave her an early appreciation for the way that personal circumstances and broader systemic issues can intersect with the law.

Kira received her law degree from Thompson Rivers University in 2026. While at TRU, she served as President of the Criminal Law Club and was awarded the Gregory S. Pun K.C. Scholarship in Advanced Legal Research and Writing. She also volunteered with the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies, documenting concerns and systemic issues affecting federally incarcerated women and gender-diverse people.

Kira looks forward to building her practice in criminal law and advocating for her clients with care.
