Client facing 3 counts of Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking. File was set for a 3-week BC Supreme Court trial. There were numerous issues with the police investigation that were alleged to the Charter by the defence counsel, including:

1. Unlawful use of a police agent;
2. Arbitrary arrest;
3. Unlawful search and seizure of clients person and vehicle; and
4. Delay in facilitating access to counsel.

At the conclusion of the first week of trial, crown counsel abandoned the prosecution and Directed a Stay of Proceedings.

Outcome: Charges Dropped. No Criminal Record.
